‘Yo voy soñando caminos’ is a journey through the cities where Antonio Machado lived. The illustrations, made in situ, show all the places that were important in the poet’s life, from the house where he was born to the cemetery where he rests, in Collioure. The more than forty poems and various texts by Machado are a selection made by Antonio Rodríguez Almodóvar.
«Because of my devotion to Antonio Machado and his work, I have visited all the places where he lived and in all of them I have felt the same emotion, which is what his verses transmit, which speaks of his poetic capacity. To feel it again by seeing Leticia Ruifernández’s watercolors indicates to what extent the illustrator has captured the essence of Machado in her territories and her ability to transmit it to the reader of the book, rather than a contemplative reader as Machado was of the world in which he lived .
